The ticket sales and any sales of the cart will go directly to Penumbra. We chose mental health as a theme because we have all been personally affected by it, and we believe there are huge problems of isolation, self-doubt and depression particularly in the creative community, and aim to combat that with uplifting events like this one.
Fashion designers involved include Incode, Irina Gusakova, Seinclln, Studio Five, Rachel Mcmillan, Birds of Prayers and Suk Wan Chan. Art collaborators will include Elspeth Mckenzie, Edinburgh Sketcher, Mike Doherty and Alexander Jackson, with more confirmed collaborators following soon.

About the Scottish Design Exchange
The Scottish Design Exchange is a not-for profit design collective based in Edinburgh. We showcase and celebrate local, independent and ethical artists and designers of all disciplines. We host a large concept store shop in Leith, Edinburgh, set up to help artists and designers experience retail. In the shop, fashion designers, artists, textile and jewellery designers, publishers, photographers, product manufacturers and others work together to share the costs involved in running a busy store.
Since it’s inception in 2015, the exchange has proved an enormous success, not just proving profitable for the designers and product manufacturers involved, but being popular with the public who love the idea not just of buying locally, but buying straight from the designers themselves. Collective and commercial, The Scottish Design Exchange has brought together a diverse range of Scottish talent with everything from fashion designers to chocolatiers and furniture makers working to create a thriving store, where customers can buy locally made items, knowing that the manufacturers will be benefitting directly from their support.
Design Exchange (Scotland) CIC is supported by Firstport’s launchme initiative and The Big Lottery’s Awards For All Scotland.
