Considered the ‘most stylish’ beer brand in the UK Peroni Nastro Azzurro continues to be imported from Italy to this day. To celebrate the quality of craftsmanship that is so inherent to the Italian way of life, The House of Peroni will be opening its doors in Edinburgh, giving visitors the chance to experience art like never before, all within the backdrop of a vibrant Peroni Nastro Azzurro bar.

What Does Ethical Fashion Even Mean?

Peter Jensen x People Tree

What the hell does ‘ethical fashion’, the industry’s latest buzzword, and the main focus of my blog and career, even mean? I decided, after getting asked asked this question by friends, family, readers, colleagues and customers multiple times, to explore and explain the subject a little more. I am by no means an expert nor a perfect example of an ethical fashion blogger or eco-friendly shopper  (I’m a shopping addict on a student budget!), but sustainable apparel is a subject I’m becoming more and more interested in as time goes by.

These joyful images are from the fair-trade and sustainable Peter Jensen x People Tree Collection (available here). I hope this post helps to shed a little more light on the somewhat overwhelming category of ethical fashion.

Girl in cap

Have you ever completely written off a trend before you’ve even tried it? Claiming you ‘couldn’t pull it off’? I’m the first to admit I am not very adventurous when it comes to my personal style. Glasgow Comedy Festival

Sue Perkins
Last week I was invited by Scotrail to the Glasgow International Comedy Festival to see Sue Perkins live on stage at the beautiful King’s Theatre. The comedienne is currently on a UK tour with her newly published auto-biography, Spectacles: A Memoir. An interesting show to say the least, especially with my theatre pals Catherine and Caspian along as fellow pun lovers. Read on to see what we thought…

If we were having coffee…

If we were having coffee, what would I tell you? Humour me as I download over a chai latte. Or a dark, rich mocha from one of my favourite Edinburgh coffee shops, Lovecrumbs. Thank you to Scottish blogger Eleanor Duffy for tagging me in this get-to-know-me post. And for anyone who’s reading this, you’re tagged too! It has been a while since I’ve written a more personal post on Urbanity, and I thought I’d inject a bit more of my lifestyle into the sea of fashion. I’m so humbled to have a growing number of readers, so hello to the newbies, and here’s a little bit about me.
