The Edinburgh Independent Shopping Guide

Welcome to the ultimate Edinburgh shopping spree! Anyone that knows me knows I love to rant about the importance of shopping local. As convenient as big brands can be, we have to support the independant retailers in our city to create a more circular economy. Remember, when you shop from a small independant brand, the person behind it does a little happy dance.

The Dundee Fashion Guide

Last week I went to Dundee for the first time ever (bar stopping off via the train to Aberdeen when I went to uni there), and it was unexpectedly fashion-filled and fun. I’d heard some amazing things about the small Scottish city, with its newly developing modern waterfront, highly esteemed art schools and a host of talented fashion brands and manufacturing, so I thought I’d take a day trip and compile a fashionista’s guide to Dundee.

Ethical Fashion Event Edinburgh: Fashion Revolution Week 2017

As I write this, I’ve just come back from the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation (ECCI) after an insanely eventful event all about celebrating all things ethical fashion during Fashion Revolution Week with Colour Elements, at which I spoke on a panel of experts after a film screening of Slowing Down Fast Fashion. This picture shows one of the Scottish sustainable fashion brands that showcased at the night, Cloh, a new contemporary menswear label that utilizes quality re-purposed textiles, like ‘linen’ made from plastic bottles used to make stunning oversized shirts.

Fashion Communication Lookbook Photoshoot: Anthropologie

Throughout this year I’ve had the opportunity through my Fashion Communication degree course to be on the other side of the camera for a change, styling, photographing and directing creative projects which I’m learning more about every day. My most recent experience was shooting a mock campaign for an Anthropologie lookbook, featuring model Mirrin Hegarty and make-up artist Cait Owens.
