Last Thursday I had the absolute pleasure of taking part in a new photoshoot for fashion brand I Dream Of Shapes, which is soon to launch in Edinburgh. The idea was to get together some wonderful local Bloggers (Cera Kamonji, Jennifer Brownlie, Katie Williams, Emily Campbell, Kimberley Grahame and Sophie Middleton) to model these beautiful bespoke designs and show a whole range of body shapes and personalities! I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed the event (and completely fell in love with these super-high waisted trousers)! Big thank you to Lucie for organising this <3 (more…)
Symmetry is nice. I love it within architecture (inherited from my Mum’s love of symmetrical houses) and nature, and of course in beauty, as I’ve always longed for a face that wasn’t ‘blessed’ with a crooked nose and misaligned jaw!
However, when it comes to fashion, A-symmetry is the new way to dress.
Much cooler than the status quo, styling looks together that don’t quite line up is effortless. Anything from mismatched earrings (although maybe shoes would be too far!) to a draped dress, a-symmetry is easy as pie.
A few recent purchases have now become wardrobe staples, and it was only yesterday that I realised the a-symmetrical trend has infiltrated by style in a huge way.
On a rare sunny Scottish morning, I met up with Louise Brown, graphic designer, blogger (http://www.littlethings.org.uk) and photographer.
We trekked to one of the gorgeous closes and courtyards off the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, and snapped some street style shots.
Despite a rather bad hair day on my part, and some interruptions from curious tourists, I am thrilled with how they’ve turned out! I can’t wait to do more projects like this in the future.
My shirt is from H&M, Bag and Dress from New Look, Boots from River Island, Trench Coat from Aquascutum and Necklace from Forever 21.
This is a photoshoot I did with Jeanne Rideau at Heriot Watt University back in my dancer days!
Jeanne is a blogger from ‘Jane Curtain‘, specialising in Fashion Marketing, Societal Changes and Inspiring Women from the eye of a French lady living in London) whom I met last year at the Body Shop Blogger Event.
