I Dream Of Shapes

Last Thursday I had the absolute pleasure of taking part in a new photoshoot for fashion brand I Dream Of Shapes, which is soon to launch in Edinburgh. The idea was to get together some wonderful local Bloggers (Cera Kamonji, Jennifer Brownlie, Katie Williams, Emily Campbell, Kimberley Grahame and Sophie Middleton) to model these beautiful bespoke designs and show a whole range of body shapes and personalities! I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed the event (and completely fell in love with these super-high waisted trousers)! Big thank you to Lucie for organising this <3 (more…)

A-symmetrical Style: How to Wear the Trend

Symmetry is nice. I love it within architecture (inherited from my Mum’s love of symmetrical houses) and nature, and of course in beauty, as I’ve always longed for a face that wasn’t ‘blessed’ with a crooked nose and misaligned jaw!

However, when it comes to fashion, A-symmetry is the new way to dress.

Much cooler than the status quo, styling looks together that don’t quite line up is effortless. Anything from mismatched earrings (although maybe shoes would be too far!) to a draped dress,  a-symmetry is easy as pie.

Belted Up with Gant

Last week I was sent a gorgeous belt by under-the-radar fashion retailer Gant courtesy of Betty & Bee. I rarely accesorise with belts either as a functional or decorational piece, but as Betty & Bee said “They’re not the most exciting of garments, but girl we need them! Not only they can add a bit of va-va-voom to an outfit, they can dress up a classic LBD, draw attention to your waist and join separates together”.

Street Style Shoot with Louise Brown

On a rare sunny Scottish morning, I met up with Louise Brown, graphic designer, blogger (http://www.littlethings.org.uk) and photographer.

We trekked to one of the gorgeous closes and courtyards off the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, and snapped some street style shots.

Despite a rather bad hair day on my part, and some interruptions from curious tourists, I am thrilled with how they’ve turned out! I can’t wait to do more projects like this in the future.

My shirt is from H&M, Bag and Dress from New Look, Boots from River Island, Trench Coat from Aquascutum and Necklace from Forever 21.
