I know, I know, I said I was dropping beauty from the blog. But one last time, I wanted to feature some new beauty salons I’ve discovered in Edinburgh through the power of instagram. Lately I have been getting bored with my usual look, so I decided it was time for a refresh, with a little help from some local girl bosses at Paint and The Nail Gal.
I was lucky enough to travel to Bologna, Italy for a long weekend last month with my boyfriend Jack, for sunshine, music and lots of pizza. Read on to find out what we got up to… (more…)
Back in March my lovely mum and I were invited by Fort Kinnaird, a shopping complex in Edinburgh, to enjoy some treats to celebrate Mother’s day, including afternoon tea at Patisserie Valerie and some pampering at The Body Shop. We had a wonderful time (I mean I always have a wonderful time with Mumma MacGilp because she rocks) and took some lovely pictures so I thought I’ve give you guys an insight into what we got up to. Read on to find out more about Patisserie Valerie and the Body Shop at Fort Kinnaird.
Recently I became super frustrated with not getting anywhere near the response I would like from my Pinterest. Lots of bloggers I know herald the virtual moodboard social site for driving huge amounts of traffic and making incredible connections and collaborations, but I never found that kind of joy.
So I decided to delete it all and start again. And after following some advice from fellow Edinburgh Blogger Tartan Brunette (Using Pinterest to Grow your Blog: Part One and Part Two and Part Three), following loads of new pinners and finding way more enjoyment in scrolling through my feed and discovering creative inspiration.
Read on for an insight into my new lil baby Pinterest and how its slowly growing.
Considered the ‘most stylish’ beer brand in the UK Peroni Nastro Azzurro continues to be imported from Italy to this day. To celebrate the quality of craftsmanship that is so inherent to the Italian way of life, The House of Peroni will be opening its doors in Edinburgh, giving visitors the chance to experience art like never before, all within the backdrop of a vibrant Peroni Nastro Azzurro bar.
The House will open its doors on Edinburgh’s bustling Castle Street for a special three-day event from Thursday 30th March – Saturday 1st April that will allow guests to experience a virtual world that blends art and technology.
