Women in Contemporary Society Photography Exhibition

 

exhibitionLast Friday I attended the opening night preview of Women in Contemporary Society, a photography exhibition by third year students at Napier University as part of Space: Occupied at Trinity Apse. The collective involves talented photographers Rosemary Adler, Cirstyn Brown, Jade Cofor, Oliver Forde, Agata Kozlowska, Sandi Macdonald-Haig and Stewart Main, all creating unique works around the theme of female identity in the modern world.

New Edinburgh Salons: Paint and The Nail Gal

I know, I know, I said I was dropping beauty from the blog. But one last time, I wanted to feature some new beauty salons I’ve discovered in Edinburgh through the power of instagram. Lately I have been getting bored with my usual look, so I decided it was time for a refresh, with a little help from some local girl bosses at Paint and The Nail Gal.

Mother’s Day at Fort Kinnaird

Back in March my lovely mum and I were invited by Fort Kinnaird, a shopping complex in Edinburgh, to enjoy some treats to celebrate Mother’s day, including afternoon tea at Patisserie Valerie and some pampering at The Body Shop. We had a wonderful time (I mean I always have a wonderful time with Mumma MacGilp because she rocks) and took some lovely pictures so I thought I’ve give you guys an insight into what we got up to. A Blogger’s Guide to Pinterest

Recently I became super frustrated with not getting anywhere near the response I would like from my Pinterest. Lots of bloggers I know herald the virtual moodboard social site for driving huge amounts of traffic and making incredible connections and collaborations, but I never found that kind of joy.
So I decided to delete it all and start again. And after following some advice from fellow Edinburgh Blogger Tartan Brunette (Using Pinterest to Grow your Blog: Part One and Part Two and Part Three), following loads of new pinners and finding way more enjoyment in scrolling through my feed and discovering creative inspiration.
