Last night a unique event took place at The Biscuit Factory (which yes- actually used to make biscuits!) in Leith. Run by Satisfashion and Lanyard Media, the team behind revolutionary hashtag #edfashion , Drink & Draw invited bloggers, fashionistas and artists alike to view exclusive pieces from local designers and sketch our interpretations, while we shared a glass of bubbly or three. We are already excited for the sequel!
The first outfit – “The Walk Of Wonder Dress” was designed by Fernanda Godship (click here to view her whole collection), an ECA Fashion student, and modelled by stylist and fashion writer Lynne McCrossan. A dramatic gown of royal blue satin and ombre chiffon ruffles, this proved quite a challenge to sketch!
Outfit number two, styled simply with black drainpipe jeans and bare feet, was the fantastic “Shephard’s Plaid” from DC Dalgeish, the world’s only dedicated hand-crafted tartan mill (check them out here). It was modelled by Charles Doherty, model at Colours Agency
And finally, here’s Lynne again modelling the “Force To Be Reckoned With” dress by Kathryn Love.
She poses with Laura from Satisfashion.
Another full-length feathered frock, this proved a tricky texture to draw but a wonderful silouhette to play with.
All hats were designed by Sally Ann Provan (click here for more info).
